I currently serve the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay's Desai Sethi Schoolof Entrepreneurship as Associate Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Earlier, I have served IIT Jodhpur, India as Assocaite Professor at the School of Management & Entrepreneurship and at IIM Trichy, India as Associate Professor in the strategy group. I teach various course in the broad domain of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Entrepreneurship.

I started my professional career in the merchant navy as a maintenance engineer aboard merchant ships. I spent two years with Neptune Orient Lines Singapore, where I got to work on large engines (~ 40,000 BHP), generators, compressors, purifiers, boilers, cooling systems etc. More interestingly, I got to work with people of different nationalities - Singaporean, Chinese, Korean, Yugoslavian, German, Burmese, Malaysian, Belgian- and got to visit many cities in Australia, Europe, SE Asia and the USA.

I also had a fruitful stint with Infosys Technologies during the Y2K scare, working at their Bhubaneswar facility on projects in the BFSI domain. Post my MBA, I worked with the Tata Strategic Management Group on consulting assignments in the Automobile and Materials space. An internal group transfer to Tata Steel took me to their Strategy & Planning department. Subsequently, I also worked in the organization's Marketing function and the Human Resource function. In between, I also spent time as a full time member of the Corus integration program.
