Dr. Gourav Aggarwal is an academic, venture builder, and ecosystem strategist currently serving at IDEATE Lab, O.P. Jindal Global University as an Assistant Professor. He has completed his PhD from the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, with a specialization in entrepreneurial ecosystems, focusing on how ecosystem dynamics influence startup growth, resilience, and performance. With over a decade of experience spanning academia, research, entrepreneurial education, and venture advisory, his work bridges rigorous scholarship with practical ecosystem development. He has designed and led impactful entrepreneurship, innovation, and capacity-building initiatives that connect academia and startup practice. His experience spans startup mentorship, founder development, strategic advisory, and the creation of entrepreneurial programs that strengthen innovation readiness across diverse stakeholder groups. Deeply engaged in understanding and shaping ecosystem effectiveness, Gourav’s current work centers on building a Startup Intelligence System (SIS) aimed at creating a personalized, customized entrepreneurial ecosystem for early-stage founders through structured guidance, venture evaluation, and context-driven ecosystem support.
