Presently working as a Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calcutta, West Bengal, INDIA. Previously, I served K. K. Das College (under the University of Calcutta) as a full-time librarian from February 5, 2009, to February 17, 2014. Later, I joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Burdwan and worked from February 18, 2014, to August 17, 2020. I also did my PhD from the University of Burdwan in 2014 under the supervision of Professor Subal Chandra Biswas and Professor Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay. My PhD title was 'Designing Institutional Digital Repository for the University of Burdwan: A FLOSS Based Prototype' and is available in the Shodhganga - https://hodhganga.inflibnet.ac.in/handle/10603/121344. My areas of interest are Open Knowledge System, Open Access Policy, Information Sources, Services & Systems, Library Automation, Digital Library, Information Processing & Retrieval, Information Analysis & Consolidation, and Metrics Study.
