A very experienced Gynaecologist, Infertility and Reproductive Medicine expert having more than 30 years’ experience of managing complex infertility problems. I had my medical education from the premier King Georges Medical University Lucknow (MBBS, MD) and subsequently got trained in Infertility & Reproductive Medicine at Columbia University, USA, University College of London, London (UK) and Leuback (Germany). I have handled more than 10,000 IVF -ICSI Cycles, variety of complex fertility enhancing Laparoscopic surgeries and Onco-fertility cases.
I have significant contribution in establishing Assisted Reproductive Technology centre at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and also was the part of the team which produced the first in vitro fertilization (IVF) baby of AIIMS, New Delhi. I am a prolific researcher besides being an excellent clinician and have published more than 250 indexed papers in International & National journals,a keen teacher and have been teaching MBBS, MD and DM (Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility) students since 2003.
Considering my vast experience, I have been nominated as an expert member of National ART & Surrogacy Board, an apex body for overseeing regulations in the field of IVF & Surrogacy in India. I am also the member of the guideline committee for ART & Surrogacy at Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). I have been nominated as the member of Governing Council of ICMR. I was also the chair of experts in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery at National Board of Examination (NBE). I have been the Examiner for MBBS, MD (Obs. & Gynae), FNB (Reproductive Medicine), DM (Reproductive Medicine) across various medical colleges in India. I have successfully completed many Extramural & Intramural funded research projects at AIIMS, New Delhi. I have successfully organised many National & International conferences, workshops in the relevant field at AIIMS, New Delhi.
