About

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway, in the Department of Chemistry. Here, I investigate carbon dioxide capture and utilization (CCU), integrating electrochemical techniques to capture and store CO₂ using biomass-derived organic molecules. This work contributes to the broader goal of circular carbon economy and climate-responsive chemical innovation. Apart from that, during my Ph.D. at IISER KOLKATA, India, my research focused on developing sustainable and innovative synthetic methodologies at the interface of organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and green technology. I am particularly interested in mechanochemical strategies for designing small molecules, utilizing solvent-free conditions to promote environmentally benign and scalable transformations. A core aspect of my work involved electrochemical methodology development, encompassing both oxidative and reductive processes to enable selective bond formation under mild and tunable conditions. I explored electrochemical radical generation as a tool for constructing complex molecular frameworks, with an emphasis on controlling reactivity and selectivity through electrochemical parameters.
I was also engaged in dual catalysis using earth-abundant transition metals, aiming to replace precious metals with sustainable alternatives in catalytic systems. This approach not only enhances the ecological footprint of synthetic processes but also expands the scope of accessible chemical transformations.

By combining mechanistic insight with practical applications, my research seeks to advance the frontiers of sustainable synthesis and electrochemical reactivity.
