About
I completed my Bachelor of Science in 2011 from Kumaun University, Nainital, India. After that, I earned my Master’s degree in Chemistry (Organic) from Kumaun University, Nainital, India, in 2013. In 2014, I completed my Bachelor of Education from the same university.
In 2015, I began my research journey at Prof. Rajendra Singh Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Centre, Department of Chemistry, DSB Campus, Kumaun University, Nainital, India. My research focuses on the conversion of various types of solid waste—such as plastics, forest residues, agricultural, and food waste—into graphene and graphene-like materials for supercapacitor applications. During this period, I worked on three major projects focused on converting waste into valuable products. Additionally, I was involved in the mass-scale production of graphene and graphene-like materials from different solid wastes.
I completed my Ph.D. in December 2020 on the topic: "Development of Graphene-Based Materials for Energy Storage Applications". Subsequently, I continued my research as a Senior Research Fellow at Kumaun University, Nainital, India, until September 2022.
Later, I moved to Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, where I worked as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher and Academic Research Professor. During this time, I focused on the surface modification and functionalization of graphene oxide and its polymer composite for anion exchange membrane based fuel cells.
Currently, I am working as a Researcher in the Department of Conducting Polymers at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic. My current research focuses on the modification of battery anodes and the synthesis of carbon nanomaterials and conducting polymer composites for symmetric and Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitor applications.
