About

I work on a problem that is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore: empirically measure and estimate how minds, institutions, and societies fail or thrive under overload, AI pressure, and leadership stress.

My research is organized around a single question across domains often treated as distinct as elections, markets, organizations, and infrastructure systems: how might intelligence and rationality be formally modeled before the conditions that sustain them begin to degrade?

As Vice President of Woxsen University, and Sir Cary Cooper Professor of Organizational Behaviour, I engage directly with institutional systems; as a computational social scientist, I model the forces that destabilize them. My work proceeds from a simple premise: that geopolitical orders, corporate environments, and social systems are best understood as boundedly rational systems shaped by constraint, uncertainty, and incentive misalignment. The task is not description, but prediction under complexity.

I work on AI + institutional fragility, human judgment under algorithmic pressure, organizational collapse dynamics, cognitive overload in modern societies, early-warning systems for systemic failure, complexity science applied to management and governance. Basically bridging: management, behavioral science, systems science, AI governance, institutional economics, organizational psychology, public policy & computational social science.

A central concern of my work is the measurement of irrationality as a system property, operationalized through systems such as Behavioral GPS™, UHIS, IAMS, and N-PACE across municipalities, healthcare, and infrastructure. My research in necrobotics explores alternative substrates of intelligence and their implications for human–AI interaction.

I have published 70+ peer-reviewed articles and 30+ books across cognitive science, political economy, decision theory, and AI, and teach areas including necrobotics, cognitive architectures, quantum AI, and strategic behavior. My work spans platforms such as Web Summit, WEF, World Summit AI, Davos, NYU, Wharton, nasscom, CII, IATA, EFMD, and advisory roles with governments and sectors including healthcare, airlines, and smart cities.

Ranked Best 40U40 Business Professors 2026 by Poets & Quants

My position is simple: whether modeling elections, markets, or airspace systems, we confront the same problem, how rational and irrational behavior unfolds under constraint.
