Sayed Qudrat Hashimy is a legal scholar specialising in international law, intellectual property law, international trade law, and comparative legal studies. He obtained his Ph.D. in Law from the University of Mysore, where his doctoral research, titled “The Legal Implications of Intellectual Property Rights on International Investment Strategies: A Comparative Study of India, the United States of America, and Germany,” critically examined the relationship between intellectual property rights and international investment frameworks through a comparative study of India, the United States of America, and Germany. He also holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Laws from NALSAR University of Law and an LL.M. in International Law from the University of Mysore, graduating with Distinction and receiving three Gold Medals and three Cash Prizes for outstanding academic performance. He completed his B.A., LL.B. (Honours) degree at J.S.S. Law College, where he secured First Rank with Distinction.
Dr. Sayed Qudrat Hashimy has coordinated over 30 international webinars and conferences at the University of Mysore. Additionally, Dr. Hashimy has delivered invited lectures on comparative law, legal research methodology, and academic writing at various national and international academic platforms. His scholarly publications have appeared in internationally recognised journals indexed by Scopus, Springer, JSTOR, and Kluwer Law International, covering areas such as intellectual property law, WTO law, international humanitarian law, environmental law, constitutionalism, and global trade governance.
