Her Journey into medical research was a natural process as she inherited a legacy hailing from a family of medical doctors and scientists.
She is MBBS graduate from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore and MD Physiology from Bangalore Medical College. She Received PhD award from Maastricht’s University, Netherlands and later DSc from Svyasa University .
Dr Sathyaprabha has been awarded the prestigious Dr Kalpana Chawla young women scientist award from Government of Karnataka and “ICMR International Young Scientist fellowship award” from Government of India and also has a fellowship on Autonomic functions at Queen’s square hospital, London
Being an exceptional team leader, go-getter, motivated and proactive researcher, she has guided several M Phil, MD, MS, DM Neurology, MCh, PhD students to reach greater heights in their career. Till date she has guided / guiding 28 PhD scholars Her long list of scientific communications, awards, presentations both in India and overseas speak volumes about her endeavours and achievements. Her research work has been translated in to many international publications. She has more than 134 publications with 4000 citations with H index 34 and i10 index 69.
Dr Sathyaprabha has got several research projects from CCRYN, CCARS, ICMR, DST and CSIR and from few more funding agencies.
She is reviewer for many national and international journals as well. She is very keen on serving the society as it’s her hobby. Till date she has organized and attended
more than 250 free medical camps in rural areas treating economically backward patients as selflessservice.
