About
Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Gupta was born and bought up at Lucknow and is an alumnus of prestigious Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Hari Singh Gour University (formerly Sagar University), Sagar, (M.P). He has a rich industrial experience of six years and is serving academics for last twenty one years. He is presently serving as Principal and Dean, School of Pharmacy, Babu Banarasi Das University (BBD University), Lucknow, holding additional post of Head, Department of Pharmacognosy. His area of Interest is medicinal plants particularly Standardization and HPTLC studies along-with phytopharmacology and herbal formulation. At post graduate level i.e. M. Pharm., he has supervised forty Dissertation work, and six as Co-Supervisor. He is Co-Investigator of AICTE - MODROBS project “Standardization of selected Indian Medicinal Plants” (2009-12). His supervision of a M. Pharm. Thesis was awarded as ‘Best Research Supervisor’ in ‘R.V. Patel best M. Pharm. Thesis’ competition at National level (2011-12). He has authored four books and also contributed to a book chapter published by Springer. He is reviewer of several national & international research journals. He has 80 National / International Publications/ presentations to his credit and has attended many conferences, seminar & workshop etc. He is Life member of pharmaceutical based professional organizations like A.P.T.I., I.S.P. & S.P.E.R. etc.
