About
Dr. Suraj Bhagat leads the team on AI/ML applications and advanced soft computing for climate intelligence at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (CIDR), SRM University-AP, India. He is serving as a visiting professor at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, and Duy Tan University, Vietnam. His research focuses on sustainable water resource management, predictive modeling, feature engineering, and remote sensing integration for environmental monitoring. Achievements include serving as Principal Investigator for a National Global Energy Award-winning project (Austria) at Ambo University, Ethiopia; SF-Research Fellowship at IIT Delhi; H-index of 23 with high-impact publications (including single-author works on precipitation forecasting) and an editorial board role for a Nature portfolio journal (Q1) and guest editor in Urban Sceince Journal (Q1). He earned the M. Tech. degree (Gold Medalist) in environmental engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, India; Ph.D. from Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam (AI/ML environmental solutions); and Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Ohio State University, USA (geospatial analysis, SWAT modeling).
