About

Dr. V. C. Sathish Gandhi was born in a small village at Thuvakudimalai, nearby Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu, India in a humble family on 03rd October 1978. He received his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Maharaja Engineering College affiliated to Bharathiar University, India in 2000 and Master's Degree in Engineering Design from Maharaja Engineering College affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, India in 2004. He received his Ph.D Degree in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India in 2013.
He started his career as a faculty of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a faculty at Maharaja Polytechnic College, Tirupur, India from November 2000 to April 2001, at Maharaja Engineering College, Tirupur, India from May 2001 to May 2003, at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering (Autonomous), Hosur, India from July 2004 to May 2010, at Knowledge Institute of Technology, Salem, India from June 2010 to August 2010. At present, he is working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University College of Engineering Nagercoil (Anna University Constituent College), Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu, India. He has published 30 papers in reputed International Journals, one paper in National Journal, 09 papers in International conferences and 06 papers in National conferences. He received three awards for his research, academics, administration and best teacher in the year 2015, 2016 and 2020 respectively. He received fund of rupees 4.5 lakhs for his research work from LA - Foundation, Mumbai. He published the text entitled "Thermal Engineering - I" and "Thermal Engineering" in the year 2021 and 2023 respectively. He is an approved supervisor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for Guiding Ph.D/ MS by (Research) Programme at Anna University, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. Currently he is guiding One Ph.D research scholars at Anna University, Chennai and Three scholars has completed Ph.D under his supervision. His areas of interest are Fracture Mechanics, Contact Mechanics, Composite materials, Bio-polymers, Tool Coating and Material science.
He has conducted 04 Faculty Development Training Programmes on "Engineering Graphics" and "Engineering Mechanics" sponsored by Centre for Faculty Development, Anna University, Chennai - 25, in the year 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2021 at University College of Engineering (Anna University Constituent College), Konam, Nagercoil, Tamilnadu, India.
He is a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
He is extremely paying attention in the teaching profession since November 2000. His objective is importing the knowledge to the student's community as pedestal on the research to construct a nation at the top most in the world.
