Dr. Dinesh Kumar Lakshmanan currently serves as an Associate Researcher in the Pharmaceutical Engineering Division, VMKVEC at Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed University). His research focuses on the immunopathogenesis and therapeutic modulation of connective tissue disorders, with an emphasis on Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis. He investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying cartilage and synovial membrane degeneration and evaluates the therapeutic potential of bioactive compounds derived from functional foods and vegetables. His work integrates experimental animal models and computational approaches to examine the influence of diet and ageing on disease progression, with the goal of advancing translational strategies in rheumatology.
