Prof. Priyabrata Pattanaik is now a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Science and Engineering, Manchester Metropolitan University. Working as a Professor in Electronic and Communication Engineering and Additional Dean-Research at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), India. Prof. Pattanaik joined as a faculty member in the Dept. of Electronic and Communication Engineering in 2008. He was born on 25th March 1981 in Puri, Odisha, India. Prof. Pattanaik received his bachelor's degree in engineering (electronic and telecommunication engineering) from North Orissa University, Odisha. Then, he earned his M. Tech degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering, with a specialisation in VLSI design from BPUT, Odisha. After that, he did his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Siksha O Anusandhan Deemed to be a university with a specialisation in compound semiconductor Bio Sensors. With more than 19 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Prof. Pattanaik's research area of interest includes III-V and II-VI Magnetic Semiconductor Materials and Devices, Thin film and VLSI Fabrication Technology, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, MEMS, Biosensor and Smart agriculture using sensor technology. He has guided several M. Tech and B. Tech project groups. He has been guiding several M.Sc. and PhD research scholars in multidisciplinary. Under his guidance, one PhD scholar has been awarded, and two have submitted their thesis. He has worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Reading, United Kingdom. He has published more than 100 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals of repute (Scopus: Documents: 99, Citations:233, h-index:8, WoS: Documents: 38, Citations:83, h-index:5, Google Scholar: Documents: 85, Citations:279, h-index:9). He is the guest editor of Advanced Science Letter (American Scientific Publication). He has developed a semiconductor research laboratory and a microelectronic laboratory. Prof. Pattanaik and his research group have filed and published 33 Indian patents, and out of them, 13 have been granted. His research group is now working with the University of Oxford, the University of Reading, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Aberdeen and IIT Mandi, like top institutes.
