About
Dr. Md Shohel Sayeec has been the faculty member of Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Multimedia University since 2001, and he is currently holding a position of Professor of the Faculty. For almost 19 years, Prof. Shohel has worked as an educator at Multimedia University for Computer Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Computer Security, Computer Graphics and Web Techniques & Applications. He has been in ICT field for the past 25 years and attached in various government and private institutions as a Trainer. He is a Professional Technologist and also a Train The Trainer (TTT) Certified Professional.
Apart from his administrative job, Prof. Shohel is also actively involved in research and supervising a number of masters and PhD students as well. He is particularly engaged in the research area of Web Development and Applications, Biometrics, Information security, Big data, Image and signal processing, Pattern recognition and classification, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Furthermore, he has published over 150 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings. His research works have been accepted by journals such as IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI), International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (IJPRI), Discrete Dynamics in Nature and Society (DDNS). These papers have been cited in various international journals and conferences a number of times. Several of his findings have been presented in a number of well recognized IEEE conferences such as ICSP2006, ICIAS2007, ITSIM2008, CSECS2009 and ITSIM2010.
He has served on technical program committees for about 25 international conferences and a reviewer for many top journals. He has been appointed technical paper reviewer for Journal of Pattern Recognition Letters, IEEE Transaction on Neural Netwroks, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, Journal of Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine and International Journal of Computer Theory and Engineering. He has also been invited to review technical papers for several international conferences. Prof. Shohel has invited as a Chief Guest and keynote speaker at the second International Conference on Advanced Computing (ICAC 2019). Apart from the ICAC 2019, Dr. Shohel was also invited as the keynote speaker for several international conferences such as the International Conference on Recent Trends and Challenges in Healthcare Informatics (RCHI- 2019), International Conference on Recent Trends in Advanced Computing (ICRTAC 2019) and International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications (lCCIA 2019). Furthermore, Dr. Shohel was also invited as the keynote speaker for the International Conference on Modern Research (Multidisciplinary) 2019, International Conference on Advanced Computing (ICAC 2015), International Symposium Innovative Management, Information & Production (IMIP 2015) and International Conference on Innovations in Computer Science and Technology (ICICST 2016), respectively.
