About
Dr. Okram earlier worked at Inter-University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi (1995-96) as Research Associate, National Institute of Materials Science, Tsukuba, Japan (1996-98) as Science and Technology Agency Fellow, National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi (1999-2001) as Senior Research Associate (Pool Officer) after completion of his MSc Physics from Delhi University, Delhi (1988) and PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (1995). He has been working at UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (CSR), Indore, MP, India as Scientist/ Engineer D since 2001. He guided four PhDs, 6 MPhil, 4 M Tech, 54 MSc and 5 BSc projects and delivered over 89 invited lectures at different national and international online/ offline conferences, published over 155 peer-reviewed journal papers including that of reasonably reputed journal publications and 116 conference proceeding presentations with 2267 times citations (https://scholar.google. co.in/citations?user=yP7mvgQAAAAJ). Several awards including STA fellowship of Government of Japan, Young Scientist Award of Manipur Science congress and outstanding reviewer awards of Journal of Alloys and Compounds and Materials Science & Engineering B (both Elsevier) have been honored to him. He has been Scientist G/ Engineer G since July 2018, and is registered as Editorial Manager of Optical Materials and Journal of Hydrogen Energy. Dr. Okram earlier worked on experimental aspects of superconductors (1990-2005) and is presently working especially on the materials and electrical properties of nanostructured thermoelectrics and various novel materials.
