About

Dr. Muduli obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Humboldt University, Berlin. He received an M.Tech degree in Materials Science & Engineering (specialization: semiconductors) from IIT Kharagpur, India and an M.Sc degree in Physics from Utkal University, India. He did postdoctoral research at the University of North Carolina, USA, Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Dr. Muduli is a recipient of the Göran Gustafsson postdoctoral award in Sweden. Dr. Muduli’s group is working on nanomagnetism and spintronics with an emphasis on spin torque induced magnetization dynamics. His group is interested in the study of magnetization dynamics at the nanoscale, the spin Hall effect, spin pumping, and nanoscale tiny objects called magnetic skyrmions, with a focus on spin orbit torque based nanoscale devices
