Dr. Ramaiah is presently working as Dean, School of Media and Communication and Professor in the Department of Library & Information Science. All over, he has got 34 years experience including 10 year abroad. Ramaiah worked as faculty with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from 1999-2005. Prior to that Ramaiah worked as scientist with DRDO over 14 years. He was a Commonwealth Scholar for doing Ph.D. in UK during 1989-1993. His formal education includes masters de¬grees in Chemistry and Library and Information Science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Information Science, and member of 19 international and national professional societies. He has been to over 15 countries and published about 130 papers and five books. Received Distinguished Service Award in 2016, Bharat Gaurav Award in 2017, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Education Excellence Award and Sai Sevagar Award in 2018. Ramaiah’s research interests include multimedia & hypertext technologies, human-computer interaction, user interfaces, designing e-books, e-publishing, e-learning, archival informatics and bibliometrics.
