About

I am working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. I completed my training in Neurology (D.M.) from PGI, Chandigarh in 2013. I started my research career in 2019 when I joined the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Given the high burden of Dementia worldwide, I developed interest in Cognition as my research area. I have worked on a cohort of elderly people (hospital based), their cognitive trajectories, and risk associations of cognitive impairment. As a coinvestigator, I am involved in the establishment of a community dwelling rural cohort of at-risk elderly in India, and development of a culturally adapted multimodal care bundle for primary prevention of dementia. I am establishing a cohort of dementia and mild cognitive impairment at my institute, and working on biomarkers in dementia and some intervention trials in mild cognitive impairment. I have 2 extramural and 3 intramural research grants (as Principal Investigator) to support this work.
