Dr. Shiva Kumar Sampangi

About

I am Dr. Shiva Kumar Sampangi, currently employed as a Young Investigator Group Leader at the Hydrogen Research Centre of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. I hold a Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, India. Following completion of my Ph.D., I garnered research experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UNIST, South Korea and acquired industrial experience as a Deputy Manager-team Lead for Hydrogen Projects.
My research expertise lies in the field of hydrogen production through low-temperature water electrolysis technologies (AEM, PEM and Alkaline), fuel cells, CO2 capture, and conversion. I possess extensive knowledge in materials synthesis (such as CNTs, Graphene, Metal oxides, etc.) and their characterization techniques. Additionally, I have expertise in fabrication of Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs), Gas Diffusion Layers (GDLs) and Designing of electrolyser cells and stacks (up to pre-industrial scale), including balancing of the plant.
