Academic Journey : B. Sc. (Physics Hons.), M. Sc. (Solid State Physics) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1996 and 1998, respectively. He carried out his doctoral research work at the Banaras Hindu University in the Department of Physics under “Professor O. N. Srivastava”. He obtained his Ph. D. in the year 2004. He was lecturer at Department of Physics in Lucknow University, Lucknow from October 19, 2006 to August 2, 2007; he joined NPL as scientist B in 2007. Currently, he is working as Principal Scientist in the Photonic Materials Metrology Sub Division.
Current Area of Interests: His current research interest is focused on development of luminescent materials (bulk/nano), luminescent graphene quantum dots and 2-D new emerging materials for applications in luminescent security ink, security codes, optoelectronic devices, biological fluorescence labeling, fluorescence quenching,
