About
Dr. Adnan Qamar is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan. Ha received his M.Sc. and PhD from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in 2013 and 2022, respectively. Before his current appointment, he worked as a Quality Control Engineer at Engine Assembly Plant at Millat Tractors Limited, Pakistan. He has more than 13 years of university teaching and research experience. He taught different undergraduate and graduate courses in the Mechanical Engineering and Thermofluid Engineering disciplines.
His main research interest is focused on the area of energy and heat transfer enhancement, nanofluids, and micro and minichannel heat exchangers. During his academic career, Dr. Adnan published more than 21 research papers in International Journals including Case Studies in Thermal Engineering, Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, Arabian Journal of Science and Engineering, Journal of Building Engineering, Journal of Brazilian Society of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Energies, Alexandria Engineering Journal, Sustainability, Energy and Environment and Frontiers in Energy Research. He was the organizing committee member of the International Conference on Energy, Water (ICEWE-2021), and Environment and the International Conference on Mechanical Engineering (ICME-2020).
He is leading a research group of “Nanoscale Heat Transfer” at the Mechanical Engineering Department, with a team of multiple researchers and supervising several graduate and undergraduate students. He also established a postgraduate research lab in Mechanical Engineering Department equipped with state of art facilities for the preparation and characterization of nanofluids. He also worked as a Principle Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator in various projects sponsored by the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.
