About
I am a research-focused geologist with a PhD in Earth Sciences from IIT Roorkee. My research interest lies in Carbonate sedimentology, Sedimentary geochemistry, Biostratigraphy, Sequence stratigraphy, and Ocean Anoxic Events. I am also specialized in integrating multi-proxy geochemical datasets (including stable isotopes, Trace and REE elemental geochemistry, and mineralogy) to investigate carbon cycle perturbations and paleoenvironmental change. Skilled in applying laboratory, petrographic, and statistical approaches to interpret carbonate diagenesis and water–rock interactions across variable redox and geochemical conditions. Experienced in synthesizing sedimentological and geochemical evidence to reconstruct paleoceanographic variability during critical climate events, with a growing interest in applying this expertise to global carbon cycle feedbacks.
