Dr. Saini is an Associate Professor at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India with interests in fundamental aspects of microbial virulence and disease pathogenesis. A major focus of Dr. Saini's research is to develop improved diagnostics and cost-effective therapeutic approaches against microbial infections. His major interests include Tuberculosis and mycobacterial infections, HIV, Microbial physiology and metabolism, Nutrition and bioenergetics, Genomics, and patho-evolution.
