Bharani Chandra Kumar Pakki

About

Bharani Chandra Kumar is currently a Professor at the department of EECE, GITAM, Visakhapatnam, India.

He received B.Tech from the JNTU, Hyderabad, India, M.Tech from the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, India, and Ph.D from the University of Leicester, U.K., in 2003, 2005 and 2013, respectively.

He received a scholarship from ministry of human resources and development, Government of India, during his M.Tech and a scholarship from UK-India Education Research Initiative (UKIERI) to study Ph.D at the University of Leicester, UK.

He was a professor and Head - EEE, and institute research coordinator at GMRIT, Rajam from 2016-21, was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Exeter, UK from 2013-2016. Before joining Ph.D, for a short term, he worked as a research/project assistant at Dept. of Aerospace Engineering at IISc, Bangalore and at IIT-Bombay, India. He was also a Team lead, Control Systems Group at Coral Digital Technologies (P) Ltd., Bangalore.

His current research interests include control systems design, state estimation, and robotics, and has published many papers in these areas.


He was a part of many international research projects (mainly European) including UKIERI, GARTEUR, EU-FP7 RECONFIGURE, etc. During the last fours, as PI/Co-PI he has sponsored research projects from ISRO (RESPOND), and other DST projects worth Rs. 2.7 Crore. Before joining Ph.D, for a short term, he worked as a research/project assistant at Dept. of Aerospace Engineering at IISc, Bangalore and at IIT-Bombay, India. He was an Asst. Professor with GMRIT, Rajam, India, and was a Team lead, Control Sys. Group at CDT, Bangalore.
