About
About me
Currently, I am working as Lead Engineer, Composite Mechanics at GE Renewable Energy. Looking after the design, testing & validation of the wind turbine blade components
Prior to joining GE, I finished my PhD in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India.
Thesis Title: “Investigations on the post-buckling and collapse behavior of CFRP structures under in-plane shear/compression loads"
Technical Expertise
Composites (Fabrication, Testing, and analysis)
Experimental Stress Analysis
Fatigue and Fracture of structures
Computational fracture and damage mechanics
Solid Mechanics
Mechanical Behavior of Materials (Harsh environments and elevated temperatures)
Finite Element Analysis
Non Destructive Testing
Strain gaging
Applied research tools:
• Non-contact strain measurement (global and local): Digital Image Correlation (DIC)
• In-situ damage monitoring and post-test damage assessment: Acoustic Emission (AE), IR-thermography and Ultrasonics (Air and water coupled), Fractography (Digital microscopy and SEM)
• Experimental Stress analysis (ESA): Photoelasticity and conventional Strain gaging
• Finite Element Analysis (FEM): Abaqus
