About

I am presently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at D.S.B. Campus, Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. I obtained my Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. My academic and research journey over the past nine years has focused on understanding plant physiological responses under varying nutrient and environmental conditions. My primary research interests lie in Plant Physiology, Mineral Nutrition, Environmental Biotechnology, Bio-nanotechnology, and the development of biosensing platforms for plant and environmental applications. I am particularly motivated to integrate advanced and emerging technologies into plant science research to address concerns related to sustainable agriculture, crop productivity, and environmental monitoring. To date, I have contributed more than 35 peer-reviewed research articles, delivered and presented scientific work at over 10 national and international conferences, and currently hold an h-index of 9. I have supervised 15 postgraduate dissertation students and remain actively engaged in academic development through participation in over 20 workshops, faculty development programmes, and scientific symposia in India and abroad. Beyond research and teaching, I contribute to academic leadership through the organization of FDPs, national webinars, and other scholarly events aimed at promoting scientific interaction and collaboration. I serve as a reviewer for international scientific journals and am a life member of professional societies including AMST and DMSRDE, which enables scientific networking and interdisciplinary engagement. My long-term scientific objective is to develop integrative, technology-enabled strategies that improve nutrient-use efficiency, enhance plant resilience to environmental stress, and contribute toward sustainable agricultural and ecological systems.
