Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Raman is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Tourism & Travel Management at the prestigious Central University of Jammu. He has been associated with the university since 2013. Prior to joining the university, Dr. Raman's career spanned across several esteemed organizations, including the University Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism at Panjab University, Chandigarh, the Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management, New Delhi, and SOTC Travel Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata. With a deep passion for education and research in the field of tourism, he has contributed significantly to both academia and the industry. His extensive educational background, teaching experience, research accomplishments, and contributions to the university make him a distinguished figure in his field. Dr. Raman's involvement in various university initiatives and committees reflects his dedication to enhancing the educational experience. He serves as the Startups Activity Coordinator for the Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC), a member of the Finance and Infrastructure Committee for the R&D Cell. He has also worked as a Domain Expert for the project titled ‘Development of Eco-friendly and Cost-effective Tourism in Hills’ under the Himalayan State Regional Council. The research project was assigned by NITI Aayog and funded by the University Grants Commission. His proactive engagement in proposing new educational programs is evident through his development of an industry-aligned MBA in Tourism & Travel Management and a vocational education curriculum for B. Voc. (Tourism Management) at Central University of Jammu.
