Biography
Dr. Sharique studied Chemistry, Zoology and Botany for his B.S. from Nagpur University, Nagpur India and got his M.S. in Animal Physiology from King Edward College, Nagpur University in 1978.
He got the prestigous National Fellowship for his Ph.D., from BARC (Department of Atomic Energy, Trombay) and completed his Doctorate in Bioscience in 1983 from Bhopal University, Bhopal India.

He was appointed as Lecturer in Physiology in 1983 at Saifia College of Science, Bhopal, became Assistant Professor in 1988 and Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology in 1996 till date. He was conferred with the Young Scientist Award by Govt. of M.P. and D.S.T., followed by the prestigous International Young Scientist UNESCO Award in Environmental Biotechnology. He has successfully guided 40 students for their Ph.D., in Bioscience and Biotechnology, 8 more students are presently doing Ph.D., under him. He has more than 175 full research Publications in Scopus and Web of Science Journals to his credit, has completed 10 research projects of Agencies like USDA (PL-480), ICAR, UGC and MAPCOST. Many other research projects are in the pipeline.
