About
Dr Jagtar Singh is an experienced clincial researcher with a demonstrated history of oncology research. He graduated from his PhD in Translational Radiation Onciology and Prostate Adenocarcinoma from the Charles Darwin University in 2019. In addition, he has a Master by Research (Head and Neck Cancer), a Masters in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science from universities in the Australia and India. He is currently a Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Pharamacy and Medical Sciences.
Dr Singh has led and contributed to cancer research, including Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Prostate Adenocarcinoma and Translational Radiation Oncology. His primary focus is observing immune-specific biomarkers of the homeostatically fluctuating immune response before treatment; it would be possible to determine the periodicity of the immune response oscillation and project forward and accurately time-synchronise SBRT to overcome tumour immune tolerance locally and systemically.
In addition, his secondary focus is on determining whether there is a relationship between the molecular biomarkers found in tumour-free surgical margins, prostatic needle-biopsy specimens, blood plasma, or serum of prostate cancer patients and clinical outcomes such as biochemical recurrence, RT-induced toxicity, disease-free survival, and overall survival.
