About
I am a Theoretical Physicist who loves to work in various areas of Theoretical Physics. I do not have any prejudice to work in a particular area of research, if I love the idea then I always try to work on that.
I am working in the branch of various theoretical developments of Cosmology, application of Quantum Entanglement and Information theory in de Sitter space, Path integral approach in the quantum dissipative system in de Sitter space, Cosmology with open quantum systems, Application of thermalization and quantum critical quench in reheating, Effective field theory techniques in cosmological perturbation theory, Connection between quantum chaos and cosmology using random matrix theory, Phenomenological predictions from warped extra dimensions, Cosmological model building with supergravity and string theory, Various aspects of String Cosmology, Study of SYK and Tensor like models, Bose-Fermi duality in Chern Simons matter theories and Foundation of the formalism for computing Cosmological Out-of -Time-Ordered-Correlation (OTOC) function, Chaos and Complexity, Quantum neural network and machine learning. Apart from the theoretical expertise in previously mentioned areas of Theoretical Physics, I have working experience in Mathematica, Fortran, C, C++, and a bit of Python language for numerics. Also, I love to teach students and work with them on various research projects.
I completed my BSc in Physics at Scottish Church College, Kolkata, India in 2007, followed by an MSc in Physics at the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India. In my undergraduate career, I have carried out short projects in Phase transition in the Ising model. Starting from September 2009, I joined as a Ph.D. student at the Physics and Applied Mathematics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India, and got the Ph.D. degree in March 2016. Further, I joined as a Doctoral Fellow at String Theory and Mathematical Physics Group, Theoretical Physics department, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India in February 2015 and continued up to October 2017. After that, I joined as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune, India at the end of October 2017 and continued there up to February 2018. Then I joined the Max Planck Institute for `Gravitational Physics, Potsdam, Germany as a Junior Scientist in March 2018 and the position ends in October 2020. In October 2020, I joined at National Institute for Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar as a prestigious Acharya, Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Visiting Scientist. This position ended in October 2021. After that, I was a Visiting Scientist at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar from November 2021 to February 2022. Then I joined ICTS, TIFR, Bengaluru as a Visiting Scientist in March 2022 and my position ends in August 2022. From August 2022, I have worked as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at The Thanu Padmanabhan Centre For Cosmology and Science Popularization (CCSP), Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary (SGT) University, Gurugram, Delhi-NCR, India. This year (2023) I was elected as a member of The National Academy of Sciences, Prayagraj (Allahabad), India which is a very prestigious position. Presently I am working as a Senior Scientist (2024-2025) at University of Warsaw (main) and as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) (2025-present) at The Thanu Padmanabhan Centre For Cosmology and Science Popularization (CCSP), Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary (SGT) University, Gurugram, Delhi-NCR, India.
I have mentored 4 M.Sc. students and more than 30 students at Ph.D. and B.Sc. levels from different parts of the globe. I am now the peer reviewer of 45 international journals and associated with the Editorial Board of 4 journals.
Apart from working in the various branches of Theoretical Physics, I established an international non-profit research consortium called "Quantum Aspects of Spacetime and Matter (QASTM)" where students from various parts of the world come together and work with him on research projects. Additionally, I organize a seminar series where various eminent scientists from different parts of the globe give broad overview talks on their research.
Recently I have taught the Advanced Statistical Mechanics course in the M.Sc. Physics 1st and 2nd semester batch of SGT University. Also recently my research work was highlighted in NANOGrav 15 data releasing paper on one-loop correction in the primordial power spectrum of Primordial Black Holes. I am looking for project students, Ph. D.s, and postdocs in his plenty of ongoing projects. Applications for the same are welcome.
