About

I am presently working as a faculty at Assam University in the department of Chemistry as a Professor of Chemistry. With broad specialisation in inorganic chemistry our current research interest lies in synthesis of strategically designed Schiff base ligands and their metal complexes and check their antimicrobial, liquid crystalline, photoluminescence and NLO property. Besides, we are also interested in nanomaterials : green/convenient synthesis, catalytic and photocatalytic properties and nanohybrids including those of graphene based materials. Twenty PhD students have been guided so far, 4 scholar are presently working for their PhD .
