Mr. PON ARASAN A, obtained his B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Agriculture College and Research Institute, Vazhavachanur (TNAU) during 2016-20, M.Sc (Ag.) Agronomy from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore and currently pursuing his Ph. D (Agronomy) from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He qualified for ASRB-NET in 2023. In 2024, he secured the Best Young Professional award, given by the Agricultural Scientific Tamil Society, New Delhi. Presently, he is working as a student secretary of the Madras Agricultural Students’ Union (MASU). He has authored 1 original research paper, 2 review papers, and 4 book chapters till now. He has contributed towards the optimization of sowing dates and nutrient levels of sunn hemp for seed production and green manure purposes. He is currently working in the area of weed management regarding weed mapping through drones and optimization of spray volume of herbicides using drones.
