About
Dr Yogendra Nayak is currently an Additional Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, MCOPS Manipal. He did his BPharm from Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal and pursued MPharm (Pharmacology) from Government College of Pharmacy, Bangalore. He completed his PhD from Manipal in 2011. As a teacher and researcher, he worked in different fields of pharmacy and pharmacology. Dr Nayak has authored/ co-authored 65 research papers and contributed five chapters to books. He has received research grants worth 30 Lakhs from AICTE & DBT and three travel grants. He also organised AICTE Faculty Development Programs on “Conduct of Research and Publication Ethics”. Apart from pharmacology Dr Nayak is well versed in research database analysis and literature search. He is a regular consultant for bibliometric and scientometric related data for Directorate of Research, MAHE, Manipal. With his knowledge in databases, he has developed a certificate course on ‘Research Orientation’ for beginners in research. He was the coordinator for ‘Centre for Research on Research’ under Directorate of Research, MAHE, Manipal for four years and assisted in comparing the publication data for university ranking. His current area of research includes in silico drug discovery, systems and network pharmacology, and research metrics analysis, apart from pharmacology.
