About

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fish Genetics and Biotechnology. My research interests include fish molecular endocrinology, fish breeding, nanotechnology, and fish toxicology.
Previously, I worked as a Scientist and Senior Scientist at the University of Iceland and at Alvotech Iceland. At the University of Iceland, my research focused on the use of molecular tools to induce sterility in Atlantic salmon for sustainable aquaculture applications. During my tenure at Alvotech, I was involved in research and development activities, particularly in the detection of impurities in biological samples using ELISA and real-time PCR techniques.
My academic and research experience combines expertise in molecular biology, biotechnology, aquaculture, and advanced analytical techniques, contributing to both basic and applied research in fish and biomedical sciences.
