About

Dr. Bhawana Bhardwaj is an accomplished academician and researcher with over 20 years of postgraduate teaching and research experience in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. She is currently serving as Associate Professor at HPKV Business School, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, where she has been contributing to teaching, research supervision, curriculum design, and academic governance since 2012.
A consistent merit scholar, Dr. Bhardwaj holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA (HRM) with Certificate of Honour and Merit Scholarship, and is UGC-NET qualified. Her academic foundation is further strengthened by an ICAR-JRF (20th All India Rank), reflecting her strong interdisciplinary grounding and academic rigor.
Dr. Bhardwaj is the author of the Scopus-indexed textbook Managing and Negotiating Disagreements: A Contemporary Approach for Conflict Resolution in the Digital Era (Emerald Publishing, 2024). She has also edited and co-edited multiple international volumes with IGI Global and Elsevier, focusing on AI, emotional intelligence, sustainability, and people management.Her research contributions span high-impact areas such as Green Human Resource Management, organizational ambidexterity, workplace well-being, artificial intelligence in management, green finance, sustainability, gender and work, and future of work. She has published extensively in Q1 and ABDC-A and B listed journals, including European Management Journal, International Journal of Consumer Studies Management Decision, Asia Pacific Business Review, The International Journal of Management Education, Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People and Performance, Social Sciences & Humanities Open, and. Her scholarly profile reflects an H-index of 16, with consistent publications in Scopus, WoS, SSCI, and ABDC-ranked outlets.
Dr. Bhardwaj has received several prestigious academic awards, notably the Best Research Paper Award (University of Delhi, 2025), Best Paper Award in ICSSR-sponsored National Seminar (2023), Education Excellence Award in Human Resource Management (2022), National Budding Researcher Award (2021), and Young Researcher Award (2017), among others.
She serves as Guest Editor / Special Issue Editor for Social Sciences & Humanities Open (Elsevier, Q1) and is a reviewer for leading international journals published by Elsevier, Emerald, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Springer Nature, Sage, and Nature, including several ABDC A and B category journals.
Beyond research and teaching, Dr. Bhardwaj is an active conference chair, session chair, keynote speaker, and invited expert, having presented papers and delivered lectures at IIMs, IITs, Central Universities, ICSSR forums, and international platforms. She has also conducted executive training programmes, leadership development workshops, and faculty development programmes for government departments, educational institutions, and corporate organizations.
Her academic work strongly bridges theory and practice, reflected in her engagements as a resource person, consultant, and trainer in areas such as conflict management, communication skills, leadership development, workplace well-being, and stress management. She is widely appreciated for her learner-centric pedagogy, interdisciplinary orientation, and research-led teaching. Dr. Bhardwaj is an active member of Academic and professional bodies and continues to contribute meaningfully to academic leadership, research excellence, and socially relevant scholarship.As a resource person she has been immensely appreciated by the organizers for her pedagogy and content. Her future goals include bringing new dimensions to the theory and practice of Human Resource Management in corporate world and training people for enhancing organizational effectiveness through OD Interventions.
