About
Dr. Geeta Aggarwal is working as Professor of Pharmaceutics in Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research University, India’s first Pharmaceutical University, New Delhi. She is also working as Director for DPSRU Innovation and Incubation Foundation and team member for BIRAC BioNest Centre, funded by DBT-BIRAC. Dr. Aggarwal has more than 21 years of rich experience in academics, research and administrative functions.
Her project under Affordable Health was sanctioned by DSIR with grant of 5.00 Cr for establishment of Centre of Advanced Formulation Technology in 2021. Dr. Aggarwal initiated the establishment of Centre of Precision Medicine and Pharmacy funded by DTTE with grant of 5.45 Cr in 2021. She has got grant of 2.0 Cr under FIST, DST for upgradation of facility in the university as team member in 2022.
Dr. Aggarwal has developed 'Innovative and Affordable Validated Cold Chain Shipping Solution' under start-up project funded by Incubation Foundation. She is one of the contributor for commercialization of hyper-protein nutraceuticals (Complipro and Ezepro). She has completed 6 industry sponsored projects and working on various research projects. She has filed 8 patents and granted with 4 patents within few years.
She has more than 160 publications in journals of repute in her credit with total impact factor of 260, more than 4500 citations, h-index of 36 and i10 of 80. She is author of many books and book chapters. She had been resource person for many National/International conferences.
Her research areas of interest include translational and reverse translational research for targeted drug delivery with nanocarriers, Transdermal & Topical drug delivery, Exploitation of modified natural polymers for enhancement of bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs, Precision Medicine, Nutraceuticals and Herbal Cosmeceuticals. She has keen interest in Entrepreneurship Development activities.
Dr. Aggarwal has worked as Dean Academics of DPSRU from 2020 to 2023 and involved in set up of all academic procedures of the university and implementation of NEP 2020.
