About
As per United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, hidden hunger and malnutrition are the critical and challenging issues for the global burgeoning population. To address this aspect, my major research interest is to work on vegetable crops genetic improvement for identification of genotypes having augmented concentration of beneficial nutrients and bioactive functional compounds. Further, lifestyle and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular, hypertension etc are also rising at higher rate worldwide, to mitigate or manage such metabolic disorders, various vegetables play a significant role.
