Dr. Kadiyala Chandra Babu Naidu is currently working as Associate Professor of Physics, GITAM (Deemed to Be) University, Bangalore campus, Karnataka, India. He is an expert in materials physics & chemistry and nanomaterials and composites divisions working in two research labs such as:
(i) Advanced ceramics and composites lab [Muffle Furnace (1000 deg C), Microwave Furnace-1600 deg C), pH-Meter, Autoclaves, Hot-Air Ovens, Magnetic Stirrers with hot plates, Hydraulic Press, Pellet Dye set (10 mm diameter), Chemicals & Glassware, Refrigerator etc.,] and
(ii) Applied Electromagnetics lab (Vector Network Analyzer-Anritsu-43.5 GHz) in MURTI Research Centre.
At present he and his research team/network is working on Quantum Materials like preparing Quantum Dots (QDs) kind of structures, characterizations for different applications. His synthesis methods are:
(i) Conventional Sintering of bulk ceramics/composites
(ii) Microwave Sintering of Bulk ceramics/composites
(iii) Hydrothermal Technique
(iv) Microwave Processed Hydrothermal Synthesis of nanoceramics/nanocomposites
(v) Microwave Processed Sol-Gel Synthesis
(vi) Sol-Gel Method
(vii) Citrate-Gel Autocombustion Method
He published original research articles-120, Review articles-12, Conference Proceedings-4, Editorial-1, Note-1 in different peer reviewed international journals of repute, 4 books & 53 book chapters in standard book editions published by international publishers like Springer-Verlag, Elsevier, John-Wiley, Taylor-Francis, Frontiers SA, American Chemical Society, American Institute of Physics, Nature, IEEE, MDPI, IOP, etc.
He has research collaborations/network with researchers from different countries like India, USA, China, Romania, KSA, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, South Korea, etc.
He is working as author, reviewer (more than 100 journals), editorial board member, guest editor of similar reputed international journals & publishers.
He is working as reviewer for several postdoctoral fellowships, international funding project proposals and PhD theses from different countries.
Two German Patents were granted.
His total citations: 5000 plus, H-index: 42 plus & i10 index: 86 plus.
He received several awards like International Young Scientist award (one time), Top citation researcher award (4 times) by Materials Research Express Journal (IOP), Crystal Research and Technology (John Wiley) & International Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology (John Wiley).
He received the outstanding Research paper award by Journal of Materiomics during 2024.
He received the World Top 2 % Scientist recognition (Highly cited researcher across the World) consecutively for six times by John P.A. Ioannidis and his team from Stanford University-USA & Elsevier during the academic years 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 & 2024-25.
Sofar, four PhD degrees have been awarded under his guidance (Dr. A. Mallikarjuna, Dr. B. Venkatashiva Reddy, Dr. Oguru Ramanjaneyulu & Dr. Yellanna Machakanti) while other two Research scholars (K. Bharathi, & Vibha RS) are pursuing PhD degrees. One Research internship is completed under his guidance.
