About
Dr. Ashish Gupta is presently working as a Senior Associate Professor in the Marketing Area, Faculty of Management, South Asian University, New Delhi (An International University established by Government of SAARC Nations), Supported by Minsitry pf External Affairs (MEA), Governement of India and Central University recognized by UGC, New Delhi (Status 2F & 12B).
Previously he worked at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, An Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India. His research interests are in Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Service Quality, Branding and Consumer Behaviour. He has over 10+ years of teaching, research, and consulting experience in the area of Marketing and Management. He has more than 50+ research papers, including case studies to his credit, published in international journals indexed in ABDC, SSCI and SCOPUS, like the Journal of Consumer Marketing; Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services; Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing & Logistics; International Journal of Emerging Markets; Journal of Internet Commerce; Journal of Promotion Management; International Journal of Quality and Service Sciences; Young Consumers; American Business Review; Emerald Emerging Markets Cases; Journal of Direct, Data and Digital Marketing Practice etc.
Dr. Gupta has also presented more than 50+ research papers at International and National conferences such as American Marketing Association; Academy of Marketing etc. He conducted/completed several workshops, FDP and MDPs, such as Six- Month Online Professional Training Programme on ‘International Business Analytics and Market Intelligence’ from January to June 2022; AICTE- ATAL Sponsored FDP on ‘Leadership and Excellence in Professional Education’ in July 2021; International Faculty Development Program from Aston Business School, Aston University, Birmingham, UK in August 2019. In 2018, Dr. Gupta conducted a Six-month Management Development Program on ‘International Business’ for Armed Forces Personnel sponsored by the Directorate General of Resettlement and Welfare, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India from August 2018- January 2019. Dr. Gupta has also conducted a one-week MHRD-GIAN Program on ‘Digital and Social Media Marketing in Emerging Markets’ Sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Govt. of India), New Delhi, during 14-20 October 2016 [Funding Received Approx. 8000].
He is a member of the Sectional Committee, SSD 11 on ‘Retail, E-Commerce & E- Payment Services’ Bureau of Indian Standards, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. He is actively engaged in Govt funded projects and currently doing a project for:
• Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India [Funding Received Approx. 26,150 USD].
• He was awarded a project on ‘Internationalization of Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs): Identification of the Strategic, Structural and Policy Dimensions, Challenges, and Solutions for Management Institutions’ by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Education, Government of India [Funding Received Approx. 4600 USD].
• Most recently, he received a major research grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Education, Government of India to conduct a study on ‘Smart Farming for Achieving Sustainable and Climate Resilient Agriculture: A Study on Small and Medium land holding Farmers in North India’ [Funding Received Approx. 15, 240 USD].
