Waheed Ullah is an Associate Professor at the Rabdan Academy in the U.A.E in the Faculty of Defense and Security. Before that, he worked as Associate Professor and Lecturer at the School of Geographical Information Sciences (GI-Sciences) & School of Atmospheric Sciences at the Reading (University) Academy in Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology China. Dr. Waheed also worked as a research associate with the Collaborative Innovation Center on Forecast and Evaluation of Meteorological Disasters (CIC–FEMD), School of Geography & Remote Sensing of the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. He also worked as Intern with Blockchain Insurance Using Space Assets (IBISA)-Luxembourg, as a field assistant under the Sustainable Agriculture Water Management" project of the Italian and Pakistan governments, and with Norwegian Refugee Council and Church World services as a resource person & project assessment officer during the post-2010 flood livelihood projects in Pakistan. His research interest focuses on Land-Atmosphere-Ocean interactions, Monsoon, and Climate extremes through diagnostics, controlled and sensitivity experiments from numerical simulations through Global and Regional Climate models and Deep/Machine learning based Artificial Intelligence techniques and authored more than 50 Scopus indexed international publications and won research funding awards from multiple organizations.
