I have been a keen researcher throughout my career and have now designated as EMERITUS PROFESSOR at Government Medical College Patiala in April 2018, to contribute to teaching, research and other academic activities. This institution has been my Alma Mater also. There have been a large number of original research areas, well documented, to my credit. , However my life time landmark research with a real breakthrough has been on CLUBFOOT, started at the above institution itself more than half a century ago. This has been published in International Orthopaedics (SICOT) as online first in Feb. 2018 and now inits print version in the June 2018 issue. An invited Book on CLUBFOOT titled "CLUBFOOT- A Comprehensive Approach (Past, Present and Future)" has been published by a premier Global Publisher "Taylor and Francis" of INFORMA GROUP LONDON U.K. This book was released on 29th November 2018 at Coimbatore (T.N) India at annual IOACON 2018 held at Codissia Convention Centre, attended by about 7000 delegates, organised by Prof Rajasekaran, Past President SICOT. FOREWORD of this BOOK has been written by Jointly by Prof Mandeep Dhillon President of that conference and Prof Rajasekaran. I was also AWARDED the FIRST EVER, 3rd best original research award "The Diamond Jubilee Award" in line, after the earlier two also Silver in 1988 and Golden in 2018.

Due to my expertise, I was also authorised to perform poor free clubfoot surgeries in 2016-17 under GOI's National Health Mission and I performed 38 unique surgeries in extreme deformities, highly prevalent in LMICs. Many of cases operated adore the 2018 SICOT publication and author's Clubfoot Book. This BOOK is now available worldwide on Google Search, as hard copies and electronic forms, with heavy discounts in AFRICA. "Each Clubfoot is Different" is a nature's creation, discovered by the author, based on ample evidence, offering a surgical solution also as FUSION 4-in-1 surgical concept. Clubfoot is a poor man's disease leading to tremendous psycho-physico-socio-economic handicap globally with GBD.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS & AWARDS-
Research publications 130, in reputed scientific journals:
1.Skeletal fluorosis collaborating for about 6-7 years with Indian Council Medical Research New Delhi & got an ICMR NATIONAL AWARD in 1991.
2.LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT Newer concepts in pathoanatomy and New Surgical Techniques, in extreme deformities , with numerous publications: National/International.
3.“Patiala Orthopedic Biopsy Needle” Low cost, simple, versatile core biopsy instrument
4.A modified low cost Ring Fixator (modified Illizarov Technique). for complicated trauma, presented at many National/ SICOT International at Sydney, Australia in 1999.
5.Many new orthopedic conditions discovered/ published in International Journals:- traumatic dislocation of Tibialis posterior tendon, transcondylar fracture distal humerus, Pseudomegadactyly, etc.
6.New surgical techniques:- Besides Club Foot; new surgical techniques for Arthrodesis Wrist, Cock Up deformity big toe and Hallux Valgus (All published In International/ National journals).
7.Invented instruments: - Scoliometer for school screening for scoliosis, Patiala Orthopaedic Biopsy Needle, tropometer, UNiversal Inter-locking Nail EXtractor (UNILEX) (published National/ International.
