About
Dr. S. Sumathi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women (Autonomous), Sivakasi. Sha has an impressive academic and research background in the field of Quantum Dots (QDs) and assembling those QDs on the Nanofibers synthesized using Electrospinning method. She obtained her doctoral degree in Physics from Anna University. She has 5 years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience. Dr. Sumathi has authored 15 papers in both National and International
Journals, showcasing her contributions to the filed. She has also published 9 research papers in the conference proceedings, each with an ISBN number, indicating significant scholarly output. Dr. Sumathi received three Best Poster Awards in various international conferences, recognizing her impactful research contributions early in her career. She has attended and presented many of her papers at various national and international conferences, sharing her expertise and research findings. Apart from her research sha has also attended four GIAN (Global Initiative for Academic Network-IIT Kharagpur) programme organized by Crystal Growth Centre, Anna University and attended two hands on Training Programme (Indian Nanoelectronics Users Programme) organized by IIT Bombay. Beyond academic and
research pursuits, Dr. Sumathi is actively involved as a member of the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) underscoring her commitment to the AIDS patient and conducted blood donation camp stewardship. Additionally, she serves as a student counsellor, supporting holistic
student development. Her research productivity and mentoring efforts underscore her dedication to advancing the field and nurturing future scientists.
