About

I recently completed my Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. My doctoral research focused on the in silico and preclinical evaluation of sesamol and its derivatives as potential hepatoprotective agents, particularly targeting NRF2-mediated cytoprotective pathways in drug-induced liver injury (DILI). This work combined computational drug design, synthesis, and biological evaluation to explore novel therapeutic candidates from natural product scaffolds.

Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a broad skill set spanning both computational and experimental pharmacology. I have hands-on experience in molecular docking, virtual screening, ADMET/toxicity prediction, organic synthesis, and structural characterization using FTIR, LC-MS, and NMR techniques. I have also conducted extensive in vivo studies in rodent models, including biochemical, histopathological, and oxidative stress analyses.

My research interests are interdisciplinary and include: Drug discovery and development from natural products and synthetic analogs, Hepatoprotection and drug-induced organ toxicity (liver, kidney, etc.), Oxidative stress, inflammation, and redox signaling pathways, NRF2, NF-κB, and other cellular defense mechanisms, Preclinical pharmacology and toxicology, Translational research focusing on bench-to-bedside approaches, In silico drug design including molecular docking, pharmacophore modeling, and QSAR, Target-based drug discovery in the areas of metabolic diseases and organ protection, Phytochemistry and bioactive compounds from traditional medicines, and Biomedical research writing and critical review

Alongside research, I’ve contributed to scientific publications, peer-reviewed articles, and academic presentations. I have also been involved in manuscript reviewing and enjoy engaging with research communication. I am passionate about exploring new frontiers in drug safety, pharmacological screening, and molecular mechanisms of therapeutic agents.

I am currently seeking postdoctoral opportunities where I can contribute my skills and continue to grow as a multidisciplinary researcher in pharmacology, toxicology, and translational science.
