Hélène Landemore is Professor of Political Science at Yale University. She is the author of Democratic Reason (Princeton UP 2013), Open Democracy (Princeton UP 2020), and Debating Democracy (with Jason Brennan, Oxford UP 2022) as well as two edited volumes and many articles in democratic theory and political epistemology. Her research has been featured in the New Yorker, the New York Times, and the Financial Times, among others. She has written for public-facing outlets like the Boston Review, Slate, the Washington Post, and Foreign Policy. Hélène has also served as an advisor to the French, Finnish, and Belgian governments as well as the European Parliament on citizen participation and democratic innovations.
