About
Pintu Kumar Roy holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Allahabad, and both M.Tech and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna. His research expertise lies in heterogeneous catalysis, with a strong focus on ammonia synthesis and dissociation under mild conditions. He has extensive experience in catalyst synthesis, characterization, and mechanistic studies using advanced techniques such as in-situ DRIFTS and isotopic analysis. In addition to his work on ammonia-based clean energy technologies, he has also contributed to the production of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) from biomass and catalyzed hydrogen storage in solid-state materials. Currently, he is working on non-thermal plasma catalysis for ammonia dissociation, aiming to contribute to the development of sustainable hydrogen energy solutions. P.K. Roy is passionate about advancing clean energy research and aspires to lead in academia and sustainable energy innovation.
