Professor Sarman Singh has taught Clinical Microbiology & Molecular Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, for the last 32 years, after which he was posted as the Director and CEO All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal, from June 2018 to November 2021. He worked as Director Medical Research and Institutional Collaborations at AVMC, Pondicherry, and is currently working as Founder & Director at Advanced Centre for Chronic and Rare Diseases (ACCORD-asha), New Delhi. He is a well-known researcher, inventor, publisher, and author of more than 390 original articles and research reviews in various peer-reviewed journals, with an H-index of 67 and i10 index of more than 250. He has been listed in the top 2% of Microbiologists of the world consecutively for the last 5 years. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Laboratory Physicians, Section Editor of PLoS-Neglected Tropical Diseases, and Academic Editor of PLOS One, Medicine, and Tuberculosis Research and Treatment (Hindawi). Reviewer for more than 60 International peer-reviewed journals and an International Grant Reviewer.
