Dr. Suneet Kumar Gupta

About

My name is Dr. Suneet Kumar Gupta, and I am currently a Professor in the School of Computer Science at UPES, located in Dehradun, India and visiting professor at University of Economics & Human Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. My responsibilities include research and development of projects, designing university syllabi, and overseeing students' innovation and incubation projects. In year 2024, I have been featured in the prestigious World’s Top 2\% Scientist List, released by Stanford University and Elsevier. Before UPES Dehradun, I worked at Bennett University, Gr. Noida in the School of Computer Science Engineering and Technology for about 6 and a half years. My main duties at Bennett University include conducting research and development projects, designing the university syllabus, and overseeing students' innovation and incubation activities. Before joining Bennett University, I worked at ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad as an Associate Professor in the Information Technology department, where I also served as the NBA coordinator. Before ABES, I was employed at O. P. Jindal University, Raigarh as an Assistant Professor. I also held other roles such as Head of the Center of Excellence (CoE) and program coordinator. As a program coordinator, I oversaw the efficient operation of academic activities while supervising a team of 11 faculty members and 5 lab personnel. I earned a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, and have over 15 years of experience in teaching and research. My skills and research focus on providing healthcare solutions through deep learning, specifically concentrating on compressing and accelerating deep neural networks. I oversee the Robotic Process Automation specialization at Bennett University as a specialization champion. I have obtained advanced-level certifications in UI PATH and am responsible for developing the curriculum and evaluation scheme for specialization courses. During my career, I have been involved in over 50 conferences in various roles such as Keynote Speaker, Organizing Secretary, Organizing Chair, Session Chair, and participant. I have finished two financed projects supported by the Council of Science and Technology in Lucknow and the Data Security Council of India in New Delhi. I participated in a project called "Leadingindia.ai" financed by the Royal Academy of Science London. I have conducted over 80 workshops on deep learning at different institutes and universities in India as part of this project. I have co-authored over 40 journal articles that are indexed in WOS, SCOPUS, SCI, and SCIE. My H-index is 32 and i-10 index is 60} with 5000+ citations (as per Google Scholar. Five students under my direction have successfully finished their PhDs, all utilizing deep learning to address real-world difficulties. We have hosted 5 international conferences: IACC 2020, ICIICT 2021, IACC 2021, IACC 2022, and IACC 2023. We have obtained funding from SERB three times to host a one-week workshop at Bennett University. I have been extensively engaged in upholding the integrity and rigor of scholarly literature. Furthermore, my involvement with esteemed accreditation organizations such as NAAC demonstrates my dedication to improving the educational environment.
Overall, my journey includes a wide variety of achievements in research, teaching, mentorship, and involvement in the worldwide academic community.
