Pravin Sonwane

About

Dr. Pravin Sonwane had completed Post graduation in Integrated Power system from VNIT, Nagpur in 2005 and PhD from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2016. His research area is optimal power system. Intelligent systems for Electrical Power Grids, Monitoring and control of earth pit parameters, artificial prosthetic leg and swarm intelligence for drone system in navigation for defense purpose. He is also interested to extend his specialization in both generation and transmission, which need development considering the fundamental understanding of the phenomena in electrical sector in addition to financial aspect such as minimizing energy cost, power system planning and growth by implementing intelligent systems. In addition to this he is extending work for development of advanced sensors and actuators to achieve the targeted task within the systems in future areas of research specifically in power electronic semiconductor devices. He is intended to solve complex engineering issues through collaborative efforts and apply his theoretical and mathematical skills in the development of useful and novel technologies. Total publications are 50, fetched multiple funding's from various sectors for research projects, organized more than 20 national events, delivered several expert talk (one international talk in Brazil) and two patent filed.
He is dedicated faculty and instructor for the student community and follow all student centric process.
