About
Dr. Dilip Kumar is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the SLIET Longowal. He received B.E. (Electronics and Telecommunication) from the Army Institute of Technology, University of Pune, India, in 2000, M.Tech. (Electronics Product Design and Technology) from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh in 2003 and Ph.D. from the M.M. University, in 2010.
In 2005, he joined the C-DAC Mohali, as a Design Engineer. Then, he became a Senior Design Engineer there in 2009. In February 2014, he joined the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SLIET Longowal (Deemed to be University) CFTI, under MoE, India, as an Associate Professor, where he become a Professor in 2017.
Currently, he is guiding 05 Ph.D. scholars in the reach areas of WSNs, the Internet of Things, Sensor Design, etc. Moreover, I have guided 4 Ph.D. dissertations and 60 M.Tech. Theses to date 2 Ph.D. submitted for evaluation.He is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE) and IEEE member. He has published more than 70 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences like IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, Tylor and Francis, Wiley etc. He has been awarded with the Premium Awards 2015 for the Best Paper in IET Wireless Systems by IET press in 2015. His name also has been figured among the top 2% scientists in a global list compiled by the prestigious US based Standford University in year 2020,2021 and 2022 respectively.
